Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance.
- Provide expert plant identification guidance and advice on horticulture practices to help customers achieve their outdoor goals.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to enhance store appeal and promote sales.
- Offer exceptional customer service by answering questions via phone communication or in person, ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.
- Support inventory management by organizing stock, conducting stock checks, and ensuring product availability for customers.
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as lawn care or landscape maintenance when needed to support store operations or community events.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, floral design, or gardening is preferred to provide expert advice to customers.
- Hands-on outdoor work experience related to lawn care or landscape maintenance will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math ensures efficient transaction handling.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with diverse customer groups and enhancing communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent communication skills will help you succeed in this fast-paced role.
- Experience working outdoors or in garden centers is beneficial for understanding the nuances of outdoor products and customer needs.
