Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SUD LVN to join our residential detox team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care and support to our clients on their journey to overcome their underlying traumas and addictions, and lead sober, happy lives. Your energetic approach and critical thinking skills will ensure a safe, comfortable, and effective detox process for our clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care, monitor patient progress, and promote recovery through compassionate engagement and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission, including vital signs, medical history, and current health status.
- Administer medications following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor patients continuously for signs of withdrawal or complications, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Perform BAC and urine drug screenings following safety guidelines.
- Manage medical documentation accurately within our electronic medical record system, KIPU, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on detox procedures, medication management, and aftercare planning to support long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including clinicians and leadership, to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and emergency response protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration.
- Prior experience in residential detox and/or outpatient or inpatient detoxification program settings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of controlled medications and medication administration procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR system, KIPU, for accurate documentation preferred.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with professional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid CA Drivers License or ID.
- CPR/First Aid, Health Screen, and TB test.
