Overview
A close-knit, conservative, and Christian faith-centered family is seeking an experienced Rotational Nanny/Household Manager to partner with them in caring for their four children, ages 8, 6, nearly 3, and 8 months. This is a long-term role for a warm, dependable, highly capable professional to become a trusted, steady presence in their children’s lives. The family resides primarily in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and spends June through August at their home on the New Jersey Shore, with additional travel throughout the year for holidays and family gatherings.
The position can operate on two different schedules:
Option One:
Two-weeks-on / two-weeks-off rotation. During working weeks, hours are 8:00 AM–9:00 PM, Saturday through Friday, with a one-hour daily break. Compensation for this schedule is $70,000 to $100,000 annually
Candidates seeking this schedule may reside outside of South Florida. The family is willing to pay for travel to and from the location and will offer live-in arrangements.
Option Two:
Every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM, with a one-hour daily break. Compensation for Option 2 is an hourly range of $25 – 30 per hour.
Included in both schedules:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day are guaranteed off; other holidays may be worked depending on the family’s travel schedule. Flexibility is essential, as the family’s lifestyle includes travel and evolving needs. Dad owns and operates an addiction treatment business with long hours and occasional travel, making reliability, adaptability, and strong communication especially important.
Duties
- This role is a true blend of childcare and household management, not a childcare-only position. Mom is a stay-at-home parent and homeschool educator, and the nanny will work closely alongside her—sometimes caring for all four children, and at other times focusing more heavily on household responsibilities to allow Mom dedicated one-on-one time with individual children or space to manage other obligations
- Provide attentive childcare for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- While a separate weekly housekeeper handles deep cleaning, the nanny/household manager is responsible for the daily organization and reset of the home, including dishes and kitchen resets, laundry (washing, stain treatment, folding, and proper put-away), sweeping and mopping floors, maintaining clutter-free surfaces, organizing toys and supplies, putting away groceries and deliveries, sorting mail, taking out trash, and coordinating household vendors when needed. The home is expected to be fully reset and functioning smoothly at the end of each day.
Requirements
- At least 3 years prior experience in a combined nanny/household manager role
- Candidate must either hold or actively be working towards a Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in cleaning, meal preparation, and household organization.
- Candidate should be a strong multi-tasker capable of transitioning seamlessly and efficiently between household and childcare tasks
- Candidate must be high energy, capable of completing multiple 12 hour shifts in a row on his or her feet
- Candidate must be quick paced, driven by efficiency, and able to learn quickly
- Candidate must be warm and build rapport quickly with children
