Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and enhance software tools and subsystems aimed at promoting software reuse and domain analyses. In this role, you will manage software development initiatives, employing formal specifications and industry-standard design techniques. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our software solutions are efficient and effective in meeting mission-critical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Design & Development: Design software tools and subsystems that facilitate software reuse, and manage their implementation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Technical Management: Utilize formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to oversee software development and support.
- Cost & Schedule Estimation: Accurately estimate development costs and timelines to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Program Review & Refinement: Analyze existing programs, propose refinements, and enhance current techniques to optimize performance and reduce operating time.
- Specification Formulation: Define and modify software application specifications, ensuring alignment with engineering releases and manufacturer utilities.
- Quality Assurance: Lead quality assurance reviews and evaluate both existing and new software products to ensure they meet rigorous standards.
- Security Tool Management: Continuously monitor the health and status of security tool suites through effective IT system management, ensuring full operational capacity.
- Database Administration: Conduct database administration tasks to monitor, report, and repair any issues affecting the health of the systems and tools within the NISIRT.
- Vulnerability Analysis: Analyze newly identified vulnerabilities within the Enterprise IT/IC GovCloud security tool suite, conducting gap analyses and proposing solutions.
- Collaborative Solution Implementation: Work with ancillary organizations to procure and track hardware/software necessary for solution implementation, presenting your findings in detailed Technical Analysis packages.
- Deployment & Training: Define, coordinate, and execute testing, integration, implementation, and deployment activities. Prepare and conduct training on newly deployed tools for authorized users.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software design, development, and management in a government contracting environment.
- Proficient in software development methodologies and tools, including COTS/GOTS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in vulnerability analysis and gap analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Requirements:
All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions. Twelve (12) years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED. Ten (10) years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree. Eight (8) years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree. Six (6) years minimum experience and a Master's Degree. Four (4) years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree. TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
