The Maintenance Technician supports the daily operation and upkeep of properties by performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This role works closely with engineering and property management to ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently while delivering responsive tenant service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Must have HVAC experience
- Complete preventive maintenance and document work in the work order system
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds; identify and resolve safety or maintenance issues
- Respond to tenant service requests and emergency calls in a timely manner
- Maintain fire and life safety systems, including alarms and emergency equipment
- Perform general building upkeep such as lighting, doors, painting, and minor carpentry
- Support seasonal operations and participate in an on-call rotation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical training preferred
- 2+ years of commercial building maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills and experience with work order systems
- CFC Universal Certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
