OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team at Unified Personnel! In this outside Business to Business (B2B) sales role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying prospective clients in need of staffing solutions. This role focuses on outside & inside sales prospecting, lead generation, acquiring new accounts, and learning full-cycle account management to grow into a Sales Account Manager role.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Conduct outbound cold-calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new leads.
- Research prospective companies and decision-makers to build a quality pipeline.
- Identify and qualify leads for staffing opportunities in target industries.
- Schedule meetings or calls for new prospects.
- Maintain detailed records of calls, contacts, and progress in CRM.
- Assist with follow-up on inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads
2. Proposal Support
- Assist in preparing Labor Agreement Proposals in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
- Gather documentation, opportunity details, and technical requirements to support the proposal and individual opportunity pricing process.
- Track opportunity statuses and follow-up on submitted proposals to keep communication open with potential clients.
3. Market Intelligence
- Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and local labor market conditions.
- Provide input to sales leadership on emerging opportunities and risks.
4. Collaboration
- Partner with Recruiters to ensure client needs are clearly communicated.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related field preferred.
- Sales, B2B, Door to door, or customer service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Frequent local travel to visit prospective clients, attend meetings, and participate in networking events.
EXPECTATIONS - The First 90 Days
- First 30 Days: In office Sales & Systems Training / Cold Calls / Tandem Meetings & Job Site and Office Visits with the Sales Manager
- After Initial 31-90 Days: Additional Sales Benefits (Gas, Tolls & Car Allowance) become available
- After 90 Days: Promotions to Sales Account Manager, Bonuses and/or Pay Increases become available
