Elysium Energy Solutions is a growing leader in residential solar, commercial energy solutions, and electrical services. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager Trainee to join our team and develop into a key member of our financial and operations leadership team.
This position is designed for someone who is eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within a fast-paced company. The Finance Manager Trainee will receive hands-on training and work closely with management, operations, sales, contracting teams, homeowners, and financing partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan & Financing Transactions: Assist with managing customer loan transactions, financing documentation, approvals, and funding to ensure projects move forward smoothly.
- Profit & Loss Tracking: Assist with monitoring and maintaining profit and loss information and identifying areas that may improve overall financial performance.
- Daily Invoicing: Enter, review, and track daily invoices while maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
- Accounts & Financial Records: Assist with tracking payments, project costs, deposits, invoices, and other financial transactions.
- Payroll Coordination: Assist with confirming payroll schedules, employee information, and payroll-related responsibilities to help ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Project Financial Coordination: Work with the operations team to monitor project progress, costs, financing, and financial milestones.
- Permitting Support: Assist with permitting and project documentation to help ensure projects remain compliant with applicable requirements.
- Channel Partner Coordination: Participate in weekly meetings with financing and channel partners to discuss project status, financial updates, outstanding requirements, and upcoming installations.
- Customer Communication: Communicate professionally with homeowners alongside the sales, contracting, and operations teams to answer questions and help provide a smooth customer experience.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve internal financial and operational processes, organization, and efficiency.
- Management Support: Provide financial and administrative support to management as needed and take on additional responsibilities as experience and knowledge develop.
Qualifications
- Background or education in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers, financial records, and business documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial or business software preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks, accounting software, CRM systems, or financing platforms is a plus.
- Previous experience in solar, construction, electrical services, finance, or project administration is helpful but not required.
- Must be dependable, professional, willing to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
