Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and immunizations, following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and wound care in accordance with best practices.
- Coordinate patient care plans through case management strategies, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across settings like hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home care.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology preparations like mammography or sonography assistance, and infection control protocols.
- Manage acute pain cases and provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease in memory or behavioral health units.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare standards including NCQA standards for quality assurance and ICD coding for accurate medical documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience working in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), trauma centers (Level I & II), or surgical units with familiarity in trauma medicine and critical care transport.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for efficient documentation of patient care activities.
- Extensive background in medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics—including neonatal ventilator management—and geriatrics within nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Hands-on experience with specialized procedures such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis support, ostomy care, or gastrostomy tube management.
- Knowledge of infectious disease protocols and experience managing patients requiring hospice & palliative medicine services or post-acute care.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations involving anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding to inform treatment plans.

Pay: $40.62 - $70.92 per hour
