Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, steering systems, and electrical wiring.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure precise repairs aligned with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures while providing excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, vehicle suspension system repair, wheel alignment, and vehicle transmission system repair.
- Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain components, and vehicle systems across various makes including GM vehicles.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools and multimeters for accurate troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams for complex repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
