Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver expert dermatological care, perform patient assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve skin health outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dermatological patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations focused on skin conditions.
- Diagnose and manage common and chronic dermatologic conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, etc).
- Identify and treat precancerous and cancerous lesions (AK, BCC, SCC, melanoma) within scope of practice.
- Perform dermatology-specific procedures such as shave, punch, and excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound care post-procedure management.
- Order, review, and interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure and clinical guidelines.
- Document clinical findings accurately using EMR/EHR system; maintain detailed medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Provide patient education on skin health, treatment plans, and post-procedure care while fostering positive client communication.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with valid state licensure.
- Master's Degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
- National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP, NCCPA for PA).
- **Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience** (medical dermatology strongly preferred).
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; background in telehealth is a plus.
- Dermatology certification (e.g. DCNP for NP's or CAQ-Derm for PA's) or willingness to pursue certification after hire.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with strong diagnostic reasoning and procedural skills. Pay: $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
