We are seeking a Development & Marketing Intern to join our team for the remainder of 2026!
Purpose: In Him Christian Wellness provides faith-based, holistic counseling and wellness services to everyone in need.
Reports to: Executive Director, Development & Communications Director
Location: Hybrid - Office in Lemoyne, PA and Remote (must have reliable transportation)
Duration: June 2026 – December 2026
Position Overview
In Him Christian Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and motivated Development & Marketing Intern. This role is designed to provide critical support for our annual fundraising efforts and brand presence. The intern will work closely with the Director of Development & Communications through early September to prepare for our flagship Golf Tournament and will then transition to supporting the Executive Director during the fall season.
This is an ideal role for a student or professional interested in non-profit management, event planning, marketing, and donor relations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Planning & Execution
- Option to participate in planning and execution of 10th anniversary picnic
- Assist in the planning and preparation for our annual golf tournament
- Participate in monthly golf committee meetings
- Manage "day-of" preparation: organizing sponsorship materials, assembling goodie bags, and preparing silent auction items
- Provide on-site support the day of the tournament (September 25, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
2. Donor Relations & Database Management
- Utilize CRM to track donations and manage accurate donor profiles
- Execute timely communications (email and mail) to donors and sponsors
- Generate monthly donor reports for third-party accounting team
3. Digital Marketing & Communications
- Manage social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) based on an established content calendar
- Assist with simple website updates and email marketing
- Create digital assets using Canva while adhering to brand guidelines
- Assist in the logistics of the End-of-Year (EOY) mailer campaign
Estimated Time Commitment
This internship features a fluctuating schedule to accommodate the ramp-up to our major event:
- June – July: 10–12 hours/month (flexible scheduling)
- August: 15–25 hours/month (on-ramp for golf tournament planning and content creation)
- September: 25–40/month (peak month; must be available Sept 25 and the 2 weeks prior)
- October – December: 6–10 hours/month (flexible; post-event wrap-up and digital maintenance)
Qualifications
- Major and/or minor in Business, Marketing/Communications, Hospitality or related field
- Must be willing to review and adhere to our Statement of Faith
- Social Work and Counseling majors with an interest in this type of work are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in social media platforms (IG, FB, LinkedIn) and Google Workspace
- Experience with Canva or basic graphic design is a plus
- Comfortable learning new software
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Desire to work independently and able to meet deadlines
- Must be comfortable being autonomous with basic tasks post-training
