Canine Field of Dreams is an outdoor dog camp focused on enrichment, structured playgroups, and small-group care. We are looking for a responsible, reliable, and dog-savvy Canine Camp Counselor to join our team.
This is an active, hands-on role working directly with dogs in small supervised groups while maintaining a safe, calm, and structured environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning about dog behavior, and being part of a supportive team that prioritizes quality care over quantity.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise small playgroups of dogs and monitor their interactions
- Recognize and respond to dog body language and behavior
- Guide campers through enrichment activities, hikes, and structured play
- Maintain a calm, safe environment for all dogs
- Assist with feeding, kennel care, and daily routines
- Keep play areas and camp facilities clean and organized
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Participate in ongoing staff training and skill development

Requirements
- Must be able to work 36+ hours per week including some weekends and Holidays
- Must have professional experience working with dogs in a group setting
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if needed
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
