We’re a busy cafe with a scratch oriented kitchen, serving sandwiches and light food alongside specialty coffee. Our kitchen team typically earns 16–19 per hour including tips, based on recent averages. We need reliable, efficient food prep and line team members who can keep our sandwich line moving smoothly and safely during high-volume service.
What you’ll do
- Prep ingredients (veg, proteins, spreads, sauces) according to recipes and par levels.
- Assemble sandwiches and other menu items accurately, quickly, and consistently during service.
- Set up, stock, and break down the sandwich line to cafe standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area: dishes, sweeping, wiping, trash, and regular deep clean tasks.
- Follow all food safety, labeling, dating, and temperature control procedures.
- Communicate clearly with the bar/kitchen team to manage ticket times and prioritize orders.
- What we’re looking for
- 6+ months experience in a kitchen, deli, sandwich shop, or other fast-paced food prep role preferred; willing to train the right person with solid knife skills and hustle.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately during rush periods without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Strong sense of organization, cleanliness, and consistency.
- Team player with good communication and a calm, problem-solving attitude.
- Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and handle working around hot equipment.
- Availability for mornings and weekends (peak café hours).
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
