Job Summary
We are seeking a strong, experienced Medical Assistant with dermatology experience to join our growing team across our St. Petersburg and Palmetto locations.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated MA who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, takes initiative, and is confident supporting providers with a wide range of dermatologic procedures and patient care responsibilities.
You will play a key role in maintaining efficient clinic flow, delivering excellent patient care, and helping ensure our providers stay on schedule throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for evaluation and treatment
- Assist providers with dermatologic procedures including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic procedures
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and clinical supplies
- Document patient history, procedures, and treatment plans accurately in EMR
- Perform suture removals, dressing changes, injections, and other MA duties within scope
- Ensure efficient patient flow and timely room turnover throughout clinic sessions
- Educate patients on medications, wound care, and post-procedure instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and procedure rooms
- Support providers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Travel between St. Petersburg and Palmetto offices as needed
Requirements
- Dermatology experience required
- Medical Assistant experience required
- Strong knowledge of dermatology procedures and terminology
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate provider needs
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between both office locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting with surgical dermatology procedures
- Familiarity with EMR systems (Nextech or ModMed preferred)
