Love keeping things running behind the scenes? As our Buyer, you'll make sure production always has the right parts at the right time and the right price. You'll own purchase orders from start to finish, build great relationships with suppliers near and far, and be the go-to link between our plant floor and our vendors.
What you'll do
- Own the full purchase order process, from entry to delivery.
- Keep daily production stocked by expediting parts and heading off shortages.
- Negotiate pricing and find smart ways to reduce costs.
- Build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Team up with Receiving, Accounts Payable, and the Warehouse to keep records accurate and discrepancies resolved.
What you'll bring
- 3–5 years of buying experience, ideally in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (Business Central is a plus, not a must).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, plus sharp attention to detail.
- A self-starter attitude — you learn fast and run with it.
- APICS certification is a nice bonus.
