Position Overview
Restoration Solutions by Elite is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Xactimate Estimator to oversee restoration and reconstruction projects, including water, fire, mold, and remodeling work.
This role blends project management, estimating, insurance supplementing, and sales. The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident in Xactimate, strong in customer communication, and capable of managing projects from initial inspection through final payment.
Compensation
- Base salary: $30,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience
- Commission on sold, completed, and collected projects
- Total earning potential: $95,000–$120,000+ annually
- Uncapped commission structure
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage restoration, reconstruction, and remodeling projects from start to finish
- Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, vendors, property owners, and insurance adjusters
- Build and maintain project schedules to ensure timely and on-budget completion
- Oversee job quality, documentation, communication, and profitability
- Conduct site visits and provide accurate project updates
- Resolve jobsite issues, change orders, and customer concerns
- Assist with collecting deposits, progress payments, and final balances
Estimating & Insurance Supplements
- Create accurate estimates using Xactimate
- Review insurance scopes, pricing, measurements, and carrier estimates
- Identify missing, incorrect, or underpaid line items
- Prepare and submit detailed supplements with proper documentation
- Communicate and negotiate professionally with insurance adjusters
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, approvals, and payments
- Track supplements through approval and resolution
Sales & Customer Relations
- Meet with property owners to assess damage and project needs
- Present scopes of work, estimates, and upgrade options
- Sell restoration and remodeling projects
- Follow up with leads and convert opportunities into signed contracts
- Build trust through clear, consistent, and professional communication
- Identify additional approved work and change-order opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Xactimate experience required
- Experience writing restoration or reconstruction estimates
- Knowledge of insurance claims and supplement processes
- Background in restoration, construction, remodeling, or project management
- Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Organized, accountable, proactive, and results-driven mindset
- Understanding of job costing, budgets, and project profitability
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout the San Antonio area
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, or reconstruction
- Experience working directly with insurance adjusters
- Familiarity with restoration documentation, photos, moisture logs, and project software
- IICRC certifications
- Existing subcontractor or industry relationships
