Position Summary
Manufacturing Technologies Inc. (MTI) is seeking experienced Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technicians to support a major automotive manufacturing program in the Chicago area.
This position focuses on inspecting and repairing brand-new OEM production vehicles with cosmetic damage resulting from manufacturing, transportation, and weather-related events. Technicians will perform high-quality paintless dent repairs while maintaining OEM quality standards and preserving the factory finish.
Responsibilities
- Perform Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) on new production vehicles.
- Repair dents, dings, creases, and minor hail damage while preserving the factory finish.
- Utilize glue pulling, dent rods, and other industry-standard PDR techniques.
- Inspect vehicles and determine the appropriate repair method.
- Repair steel and aluminum body panels.
- Meet daily production and quality goals in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
- Follow OEM quality standards and all safety procedures.
- Accurately document completed repairs.
Qualifications
- Professional Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) experience preferred.
- Experience with glue pulling and traditional PDR repair methods.
- Experience repairing steel and aluminum body panels.
- Hail damage repair experience preferred.
- Automotive manufacturing, dealership, collision center, or vehicle reconditioning experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver’s license required.
