Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to our restaurant's standards of excellence and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food handling and preparation.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Participate in catering events, preparing dishes that meet specific client requirements.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Proficient knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices in the restaurant environment.
- Experience in fine dining or catering settings is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within the food industry.
