Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking, positive individual to join our manufacturing team! This person will oversee the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing equipment, ensuring its continuous and smooth operation. This will include performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and installing new equipment.
This position is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building. This includes performing basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, and managing trade contractors for larger issues.
To ensure success as our Factory Maintenance Engineer, you must have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills. We are a growing company with a strong future and need a reliable and proven Engineer to help us.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing all production-related equipment including injection molding equipment, wire processing equipment, and packaging equipment.
- Preparing production equipment for our assemblers at shift start-up.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Working with Factory Leadership and Suppliers to ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations.
- Installing new production equipment.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Maintaining maintenance logs and preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
- Performing or managing the maintenance and repair of the building.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced Technical or Engineering education in mechanical and/or electrical skills.
- Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician or engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Basic computer and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
- A self-starter who can work efficiently and accurately.
- Takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Work with others, take direction and work as a team.
- Follows standard operating procedures and guidance.
