Position Purpose
Under close supervision, sets up and arranges serving areas and dining rooms in College dining facilities. Serves food from counters and prep areas to customers. Simple food preparation duties. Stores leftover food items and cleans kitchen utensils and equipment and work and dining room areas. Operates point-of-sale system and welcomes Dining guests. Part-time, flexible schedules available.
Required Qualifications
- No previous experience required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food service experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness procedures and general sanitation regulations.
- Ability to learn proper food protection and handling procedures.
- Ability to learn methods and procedures used in food service operations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to apply customer relations procedures and policies.
