PaceButler Corporation is seeking an experienced Applied AI & Automation Specialist to help improve our customer operations, internal processes, and use of business data.
This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to take current AI technology and apply it to real business problems. The person in this role will work directly with company leadership and department managers to identify opportunities, build solutions, integrate tools, and improve how our employees interact with customers and information.
This is not a purely theoretical AI research position. We are looking for someone who can take a business problem, identify the appropriate technology, build or configure a solution, test it, and assist with implementation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service, sales, lead generation, recruiting, marketing, and internal operations through AI and automation.
- Build automated workflows that reduce repetitive tasks and improve employee productivity.
- Integrate AI tools with CRM platforms, databases, communication systems, APIs, and other business software.
- Analyze customer conversations, call data, sales activity, and operational information.
- Build systems that can summarize conversations, identify trends, categorize outcomes, recognize objections, and produce useful business insights.
- Develop internal AI assistants and searchable knowledge systems for employees.
- Improve customer follow-up, lead qualification, account management, and internal communication processes.
- Evaluate AI platforms and recommend tools based on cost, reliability, security, and practical business value.
- Test AI-generated results for accuracy, consistency, and usefulness.
- Create documentation and help train employees on new AI tools and processes.
- Monitor existing automations and improve them based on performance and employee feedback.
- Protect customer information, company data, and system access.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience working with AI tools, business automation, software integrations, data analysis, or related technologies.
- Experience building or implementing AI-powered solutions in a business environment.
- Strong understanding of large language models and their practical business applications.
- Experience using platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, automation platforms, or business software integrations.
- Ability to understand a business process and translate it into a practical technical solution.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to employees and managers without technical backgrounds.
- Ability to independently manage projects from initial idea through implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or similar systems.
- Experience integrating AI with CRM, call-center, sales, marketing, or customer-service platforms.
- Experience with call transcription, conversation intelligence, speech analytics, or sentiment analysis.
- Experience building internal knowledge bases, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented generation systems.
- Familiarity with local AI models, vector databases, cloud services, and data visualization.
- Previous experience in a sales organization, call center, telecommunications business, or customer-operations environment.
What Success Looks Like

Ideal Candidate
