Job Summary
Hamilton Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and informative instruction in various CTE subjects, fostering students’ skills and knowledge in preparation for future career opportunities. This role requires collaboration with staff, students, and the community to create a supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement cross-curricular projects that enhance student learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Stay current with educational trends and technology to continuously improve teaching practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community through committees and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment that upholds the values of the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Health, Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification/license in the state of Montana.
- Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per School Board policy.
