Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental/Endodontic Office Administrator to support the smooth operation of our dental practice specializing in endodontic treatments. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental and medical office procedures, and excellent patient service capabilities. This role involves managing patient records, coordinating appointments, handling billing processes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Office Admin will serve as a vital link between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers to deliver exceptional care and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Process medical and dental billing using CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards, Medicare guidelines, and health insurance requirements like Athenahealth or other EHR systems.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy to facilitate proper care plans and insurance reimbursements.
- Handle insurance claims submissions, follow-ups, and collections while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Support front desk operations including patient check-in/out procedures, phone communication, and managing medical records filing.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for report generation, data entry, and administrative documentation tasks.
- Assist clinical staff with medical administrative support such as verifying patient eligibility and coordinating referrals or specialist consultations.
Skills
- Experience with collection processes, billing procedures, and insurance protocols including Medicaid.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information.
- Bilingual preferred
- Proven clinic experience within a dental or endodontic setting; familiarity with dental clinic workflows is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; strong typing skills (10 key typing) are advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone etiquette and professional demeanor at the front desk.
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
