Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electro Maintenance Mechanic for a facility in Columbus, Ohio. The right candidate will be dependable, mechanically skilled, and confident working independently on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. This role offers competitive pay, a consistent rotating 12-hour shift schedule, and the chance to support daily production through hands-on maintenance expertise.
The Day-to-Day:
- Work safely and professionally at all times, including following lockout/tagout procedures
- Perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery independently without direct supervision
- Make equipment modifications to improve workplace safety and operational efficiency
- Train other mechanics as needed
- Assist setup personnel and machine operators with equipment-related needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Forklift certification or certification on other equipment is preferred
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams
- Knowledge of basic machine shop procedures
- Ability to train and support others when needed
- PLC and computer knowledge is a plus
Pay Rate:
- $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Rotating 12-hour shifts
