Job Summary
Epic Medical Research is seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and support our multiple clinical research and medical office locations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and able to travel between facilities to ensure our clinics remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position requires strong communication skills to coordinate with landlords, vendors, and internal staff while performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections at multiple Epic Medical Research locations.
- Travel between company facilities as needed to address maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, furniture, and general building issues.
- Coordinate repair requests and maintenance projects with landlords, property management, and outside contractors.
- Monitor facility condition and proactively identify maintenance needs.
- Assemble office furniture and install equipment as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Maintain maintenance logs, supply inventory, and repair records.
- Ensure facilities comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of facility maintenance, building maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when necessary.
- Willingness to travel regularly between company locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining medical offices, clinics, or commercial facilities.
- HVAC, electrical, or maintenance certifications are a plus.
