We’re currently seeking a passionate and experienced nurse leader to serve as Director of Health and Wellness at our beautiful senior livingcommunity. This is an incredible opportunity for a nurse who is not only clinically strong but also driven to create a supportive, engaged, and safe environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
About the Role:
As the Director of Health and Wellness, you will lead the clinical and care operations of our Memory Care neighborhood, ensuring residents receive compassionate, personalized care in a secure and enriching environment. You’ll be the go-to leader for care staff, families, and physicians, and play a key role in supporting the overall quality of life for each resident.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee day-to-day wellness operations for our Memory Care community
- Supervise, coach, and train nursing and personal care staff
- Complete initial and ongoing resident assessments and care plans
- Monitor clinical outcomes, medication management, and care plan compliance
- Partner with the Executive Director and interdisciplinary team on quality initiatives
- Lead investigations and response to incidents or changes in resident condition
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and dignity for all residents and staff
- Serve as a primary clinical liaison for families and healthcare providers
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, evaluations, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and internal policies
What You’ll Need:
- Active RN or LPN license in the State of Florida (Required)
- 2+ years of nursing experience; Memory Care or Assisted Living preferred
- 1+ year of nurse leadership experience (scheduling, coaching, performance)
- Strong working knowledge of care planning, assessments, and clinical documentation
- A passion for dementia care and a calm, compassionate leadership style
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
