Position Title: Gardening Aide
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Position Overview?Our Waldorf elementary school is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Gardening Aide to support our school garden and outdoor learning spaces.
This role is an essential part of our community, helping to maintain our gardens and animals, prepare spaces for classes, and assist teachers with outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain garden spaces for student use.
- Provide daily garden care, including watering, weeding, planting, and harvesting.
- Feed, water, and care for school animals.
- Support classroom activities related to gardening and outdoor education.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as weatherproofing animal housing and other odd jobs.
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe, clean, and ready for use by students and staff.
Job Requirements
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Comfort working closely with animals; no aversions or allergies to hay or animals.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing daily needs.
- Positive, collaborative spirit with a willingness to "get down and dirty" in support of the school community.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gardening, farming, landscaping, or animal care.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
