Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Foreman to lead and oversee concrete construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise crews, manage resources, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications. Your leadership will drive project success while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct concrete construction activities, including pouring, finishing, and curing processes, ensuring compliance with blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align daily operations with project goals and schedules.
- Manage construction crews by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, providing training, and promoting safety best practices in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Oversee the use of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure concrete work meets specifications and industry standards; address any issues promptly.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities; utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical checks when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of daily progress, safety incidents, material usage, and project documentation for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in concrete or heavy civil construction projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 (Primavera P6), HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, budgeting processes, contracts management, and project scheduling techniques.
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints and schematics; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Previous experience working with pipeline projects or heavy civil infrastructure is a plus; familiarity with schematics and electrical testing using ohmmeters is advantageous.
