The Humane Society of St. Lucie County Thrift Store is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team!
As the face of our thrift store, you’ll do more than ring up sales—you’ll be a part of something bigger. Every item sold supports the animals in our care, so your work directly helps save lives.
Position: Part-Time Thrift Store Cashier Supervised by: Thrift Store Manager
Location: Humane Society Thrift Store Hours: Flexible, must be available on weekends
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers with warmth and professionalism
- Operate the register, handle cash/card transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with bagging, restocking, and light merchandising
- Help create a positive shopping experience for all customers
- Share our mission with shoppers and encourage community support

Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales and customer service
- Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash registers
- Basic math proficiency for accurate transactions
- Effective communication skills to engage with customers
- Ability to stock and organize merchandise efficiently
- Experience with Square point-of-sale (POS) system preferred

This is a part-time position, 2-3 weekday shifts (Monday - Friday), 1P-6P.
