Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AV hardware and cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
- Manage low voltage cabling and electrical connections following safety standards and best practices.
- Conduct software troubleshooting on AV control systems and related computer hardware to resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Assist with telecommunication setups involving data cabling and network connections for integrated AV solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble or repair equipment as needed in the field.
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical systems, including E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) knowledge and electrical experience.
- Strong background in low voltage wiring, cabling, and telecommunication systems.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV equipment.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for complex systems.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, software troubleshooting, and control system programming.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively for installation or repair tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
