Pool Construction Estimator. Preferred employee knowledge of construction and the ability to efficiently communicate with teammates and subcontractors. Requirements:
- Current degree work, bachelor’s degree, or experience in the construction industry as project manager/Construction Estimator or related field. Experience as a estimator, or project manager for Swimming Pool Construction a plus.
- Construction and job costing experience a plus.
- Must have experience with AutoCAD.
- Ability to generate take-off information and measurements from AutoCAD Drawings.
- Create construction details in CAD plans, identify and correct errors when required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word) and accounting/estimating software a plus.
- Able to work independently or as a team player.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying due dates.
- Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance guidelines
- Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to overcome customer objections.
Duties require sitting at a desk and using specific computer programs to perform drafting duties. This position also requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping, etc,
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Prepare a complete estimate for selected projects with a detailed review of proposal specifications, construction bids, drawings, take-off information, and contract requirements.
- Assist Project Manager with construction project, including but not limited to monitoring projects with site visits, when necessary, to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget and investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Assisting with the total construction effort to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes interfacing with client, client representatives, consultants, architects, and other contractors.
- Monitor/control projects through administrative direction of on-site superintendent.
- Meets regularly with the Construction Team to review the progress of each assigned project and to discuss and resolve outstanding problems or issues, as needed.
- Communicates effectively and maintains working relationship with field crews and subcontractors to promote quality of work and efficiency. Takes immediate corrective action when necessary.
- Interacts with customers via phone and email in a professional manner regarding project movement, answers questions, and resolves any issues with scheduling.
- Other projects and duties as required/assigned.
