Our client, a law enforcement uniform and gear retailer, is looking for an Alterations Specialist to join their team in Valencia, CA. This role involves performing a full range of sewing and alteration services on garments, with a strong focus on law enforcement uniforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of sewing and alterations as required by the company
- Verify orders before beginning alterations — check merchandise for correct color, size, and style
- Hem and tailor garments as needed
- Apply patches and sew embellishments
- Repair and customize garments including shortening sleeves, inserting/replacing zippers, patching clothing, and sewing belt loops
Requirements:
- Prior sewing and alterations experience required
- Must have former law enforcement uniform experience
- Experience with industrial sewing equipment a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $18.79 – $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:40 AM – 6:00 PM, with some Saturdays available
