Glow, the premier make-your-own candle studio in the heart of downtown Willow Glen, is looking for a Candle Enchantress—a magical leader ready to weave creativity, joy, and innovation into every corner of our studio. Someone who can make our studio a wonderland for both customers and staff.
At Glow, we don’t just sell candles—we craft moments of wonder, we inspire discovery, curiosity, and artistic expression. Our studio is a vibrant, hands-on playground where imagination comes alive. While this role involves hard work and attention to detail, it’s also full of fun, laughter, and endless creative possibilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a passionate team of 5–10 employees, supporting and inspiring them to bring their best selves to work every day.
- Set the standard for exceptional, magical customer experiences, helping guests explore their creativity and leaving them glowing with pride.
- Dive into candle-making projects, from finishing customer candles using torches, griddles, and other tools, to experimenting with new techniques and designs.
- Maintain an organized, visually enchanting studio that sparks curiosity and creativity for everyone who walks in.
- Schedule staff, manage inventory, perform cashiering duties, and troubleshoot POS systems.
- Contribute your ideas to elevate the studio experience—new product displays, innovative workshops, and special projects are encouraged!
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of retail or restaurant management experience.
- Exceptional customer service and a love for delighting people.
- A creative heart—interest in art, candles, and crafting magical experiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience hiring, onboarding, and coaching a team.
- Ability to multitask, lead by example, and maintain professionalism.
- Comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs, standing and moving throughout the studio, and performing back-of-house candle-making tasks.
- POS and basic math skills; fluency in English required.
