We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual special education instruction and support to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, related service providers, and school staff.
Conduct virtual meetings, including IEP meetings and progress reviews.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Create engaging, individualized lesson plans using virtual learning platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
Active Special Education teaching license in the state(s) served.
Minimum of 2 years of school-based special education experience preferred.
Experience providing virtual instruction is a plus.
Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance.
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
