Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygienic living environments
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively for various surfaces and floor types
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care techniques
- Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or appliances when necessary
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and ensure satisfaction
- Follow established housekeeping management protocols to uphold quality standards
- Conduct outdoor work when required for patio or yard cleaning tasks
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment to maximize efficiency and safety
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial background preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work
- Customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients and address their needs professionally
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and supplies to ensure safe usage and optimal results
- Experience in housekeeping management practices for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Attention to detail for dusting, surface sanitation, and overall home presentation
