Minted TCG is a community-focused trading card game store dedicated to providing players, collectors, and hobby enthusiasts with an outstanding experience. We specialize in popular games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, One Piece, and more. We're looking for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused team member to help grow our community and deliver exceptional events.
Position Overview
As a Sales Associate / Event Coordinator, you will play a key role in both daily store operations and organized play programs. You'll assist customers, maintain store presentation, coordinate tournaments and special events, and help foster a welcoming environment for players of all experience levels.
ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
- Recommend products based on customer interests and experience levels
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and merchandising
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment
- Buy, sort, and evaluate singles and collections (training provided)
Event Coordination
- Organize and run tournaments, leagues, prereleases, and community events
- Register players and manage event software
- Explain event rules, schedules, and procedures
- Resolve customer questions and basic event issues professionally
- Promote upcoming events through in-store interactions and social media
- Help create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming gaming atmosphere
Community Engagement
- Build relationships with regular customers and new players
- Encourage participation in organized play programs
- Support store marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts
- Gather customer feedback to improve the store experience
Qualifications
Preferred
- Knowledge of trading card games and tabletop gaming culture
- Experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or event management
- Familiarity with tournament software and organized play programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30 lbs
- Positive attitude and passion for building community
