Front Desk/ Optician Assistant
Pay: $15-18 per hour

Vision Gallery is looking for a warm motivated individual to join our team. This is a full time opportunity where you'll be the face of our practice, greeting patients, supporting daily operations and helping people find the eyewear they love.
We are a modern, boutique optometry practice known for exceptional patient care, advanced dry eye & aesthetics technology, and a curated collection of luxury eyewear.
Our team is small, supportive, and fast-paced — and we take pride in providing a five-star experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
Position Overview
This role is a blend of front-office coordination, customer service, and optical sales. You are the first impression of our practice and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily flow, happy patients, and strong sales performance.
We will train the right candidate — experience in optical or medical office settings is a bonus, not a requirement.
Responsibilities Front Desk
- Warmly greet patients and create a welcoming environment
- Answer phones, book appointments, confirm upcoming visits and manage patient flow
- Check patients in/out, verify insurance eligibility, collect copays/balances
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with filing, scanning, office organization, and inventory tasks
- Collaborate with team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
- Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and team
Optical Sales responsibilities
- Guide patients in selecting frames based on doctor recommendations, style, fit and lifestyle
- Assist with frame adjustments, minor repairs, and presentation of eyewear
- Learn basic optical measurements and process orders
- Friendly, confident communicator, strong customer service skills with a genuine love for helping people
- Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in doing things right, punctual and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Coachable, eager to learn, and excited about growth
