JOB
SUMMARY: Incumbents perform journey-level activities and quality control activities related to the work of trades (Roofing, painting, carpentry, plumbing & electrical). Incumbents may serve as a technical resource to other workers. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Repairs and/or regulates City buildings, equipment, fixtures, systems, facilities, and/or grounds by making journey-level trades repairs or installations, depending on area of assignment/expertise
- Monitors and maintains materials, inventory, and supplies
- Completes a variety of logs, documents, and/or simple reports regarding quantity of materials handled, equipment operations, mileage, fuel and oil used, and/or other related information
- Receives and prioritizes Citywide trades work orders and emergency calls; responds to emergencies and scheduled repairs and maintenance
- To assist in the setup and dismantling of various parks and recreation programs/functions.
- To work in multiple trade areas.
- Responds to inquiries or complaints, including after hours and emergency calls after normal working hours and on weekends and holidays
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Very Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, intense noises, and travel.
