Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator and Project Manager for Commercial to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with Foreman, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution from initial bidding through project completion. Duties
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates for commercial projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as Procore.
- Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to determine accurate project costs.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate prices and secure the best value for the company while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports that clearly communicate project scope and financial expectations.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies.
- Review construction contracts and work closely with project management teams to align estimates with contractual obligations and project timelines.
- Assist in evaluating construction site conditions and incorporate site-specific factors into estimates for more precise budgeting.
- Support project management teams in scheduling, resource planning, and risk assessment to optimize project delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or residential.
- Strong proficiency with Procore for digital plan review and markup a plus.
- Expertise in Procore or similar estimating software for detailed cost analysis.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, site management, and contract administration.
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed pricing analysis efficiently.
- Knowledge of cost control techniques, project management principles, and construction safety standards.

Kamena Inc. specializes in working with Indigenous Communities across the Midwest. This role will be a hybrid position working from home along with in field expectations. The majority of our contracts are in central North Dakota but we're looking to expand.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
