Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Glazing Estimator/Project Manager specializing in storefronts, curtainwalls, doors, and hardware. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE (DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING IF NOT) in this field. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accuracy in estimates while maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Office to create and manage estimates effectively.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Implement cost control measures to monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in glazing estimating, with a strong understanding of glass and glazing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Familiarity with project management practices and methodologies in a construction setting is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
