Warehouse Specialist
Position Purpose
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment. This position ensures accurate inventory records, coordinates deliveries, maintains warehouse organization, and supports efficient district operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
· Process and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment to district locations.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic inventory counts.
· Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items.
· Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely distribution of materials.
· Maintain warehouse organization and proper storage of inventory.
· Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles in a safe manner.
· Maintain records of purchase orders, deliveries, inventory transactions, and related documentation.
· Assist Accounts Payable and other departments by providing receiving documentation as needed.
· Respond to inquiries regarding inventory, deliveries, and warehouse operations.
· Ensure compliance with district policies and workplace safety procedures.
· Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the warehouse, vehicles, and equipment.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
· Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory control procedures.
· Basic computer skills, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
· Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Education and Experience Requirements
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
· Three to five years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or a related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
