Project Scheduler (Construction & Energy)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, maintain and drive project schedules for large-scale construction, energy and utilities projects (EPC). The Scheduler will establish baseline schedules, monitor progress, analyze schedule impacts, and support project controls to ensure timely delivery while optimizing resources and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and integrate detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project scope, milestones and contractual requirements.

Create and maintain baseline, progress and recovery schedules, updating logic, durations, restraints and calendars to reflect current project status.

Coordinate with project managers, engineering leads, construction teams, subcontractors and clients to collect progress data and update schedules regularly.

Perform critical path analysis, float management, delay and impact analysis, and prepare time impact assessments to support decision making and claims if required.

Produce schedule reports, dashboards, S-curves and resource histograms for leadership, stakeholders and monthly project reviews.

Manage schedule change control processes, assess schedule impacts of change orders, and document schedule revisions and approvals.

Support cost and resource forecasting by providing schedule-driven inputs to project controls and integrated project plans.

Implement scheduling best practices, standards and templates; ensure quality control of schedule logic, coding and documentation.

Provide training and mentoring to team members on Primavera P6 and schedule development techniques as needed.

Participate in risk workshops, identify schedule risks and mitigation actions, and track recovery performance against agreed recovery plans.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of hands-on scheduling experience on construction, energy, utilities or EPC projects; experience on large, multi-disciplinary projects preferred.

Proven expertise with Oracle Primavera P6 (scheduling, resource/load, baselines) and familiarity with MS Project and advanced Excel.

Strong understanding of CPM scheduling techniques, critical path analysis, float management, time impact analysis and earned value terminology.

Experience preparing schedules for EPC projects, interfacing with multiple contractors and managing integrated master schedules.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to present schedule updates and risks to senior management and clients.

Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Professional certifications (e.g., PMI scheduling certifications, AACE CCP or PSP) are advantageous.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
