St. Clement of Rome Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and faith-centered Teaching Assistant to support students in grades K–8. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, assist teachers with instructional activities, and help integrate Catholic values into the school day. This individual will contribute to students’ academic success while supporting their social, emotional, and spiritual development.
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lesson implementation and instructional activities.
- Provide individual and small group support to students across grade levels K–8 as directed by the teacher.
- Help maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior expectations.
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
- Assist students with assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student needs and progress.
- Integrate and model Catholic values in interactions with students.
- Participate in school activities and meetings as appropriate.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to Catholic education and values.
- Practicing Catholic preferred (depending on school requirements).
