POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Technician is responsible for keeping The Paradise clean, safe, attractive, and operational inside and outside. This position performs ongoing cleaning, property upkeep, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Clean and maintain restrooms, entrances, hallways, seating areas, event spaces, offices, patios, walkways, parking areas, and shared spaces.
● Sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, clean glass, remove litter, empty trash, and replenish restroom supplies.
● Respond immediately to spills, broken glass, overflowing trash, and other cleaning or safety concerns.
● Perform minor repairs involving plumbing fixtures, doors, furniture, drywall, paint, lighting, hardware, and other facility items.
● Inspect the property and report damage, hazards, supply shortages, and repairs that require additional assistance.
● Safely use and store cleaning chemicals, ladders, hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
● Assist with preventative maintenance and seasonal deep-cleaning projects.
● Support event setup and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, decorations, and equipment.
● Help keep exterior areas clean and presentable throughout the day.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Previous commercial cleaning, maintenance, custodial, hospitality, or property experience preferred.
● Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and general repairs.
● Ability to safely operate common cleaning and maintenance equipment.
● Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently.
● Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull; work indoors and outdoors; and regularly lift and move supplies, trash, equipment, and furniture.
