Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret blueprint specifications to accurately cut and fit countertops according to project plans
- Prepare surfaces by removing old materials, cleaning work areas, and ensuring proper support for installation
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure countertops with precision
- Install various types of countertops including stone, laminate, quartz, and solid surface materials
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and finishing techniques to achieve a polished look
- Follow safety protocols such as ladder use and heavy equipment operation during installations
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently and professionally
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on building material installation or remodeling projects
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and dimensional measurements
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with fabrication, caulking, drywall finishing, or related trades is highly desirable
- Ability to follow detailed construction plans and schematics accurately
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during installations
- Knowledge of plumbing or electrical basics can be beneficial but is not mandatory
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
