Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee patient care in our facility. The Charge Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services while managing a team of nursing staff. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, documenting changes and communicating with healthcare providers as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Train and mentor nursing staff in best practices for patient care, including geriatrics and assisted living settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assist in the management of patients requiring specialized treatments, such as botulinum toxin treatment.
- Support families by providing education on care plans and addressing concerns.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in patient care, particularly in senior care or geriatrics.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical judgment.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with inpatient settings and clinic operations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
