Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math Teacher to inspire and educate students across various grade levels. Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive math lessons aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Develop and adapt instructional materials using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technology tools to facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Conduct student assessments to evaluate progress, identify learning gaps, and inform targeted academic interventions.
- Implement classroom management strategies that foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning for students of all abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and data analysis to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Utilize data from student performance assessments and quantitative analysis to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Support early childhood education initiatives by applying principles of childhood development and Montessori or other specialized pedagogies where appropriate.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mathematics content across elementary levels, including curriculum development and instructional design.
- Experience working with students in a small setting and implementing multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for academic success.
- Proficiency in using learning technology platforms, LMS tools, and digital resources for instruction and assessment purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parents or guardians effectively.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Ability to analyze student performance data for formative and summative assessments, guiding instructional decisions.
- Familiarity with educational compliance standards, regulation requirements, literacy education, and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into lessons is a plus; experience working in private or Montessori schools is desirable. monday-Thursday virtual on Friday hours 9am-2:00
