Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting food and or ice cream choices.
- Operate the Toast POS to process food orders and ice cream transactions accurately.
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change
- Prepare food items according to safety standards, including scooping ice cream and maintaining food handling protocols
- Upsell additional toppings or products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed. Maintaining clean outdoor seating areas and yard space.
- Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods to ensure quick service and high customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous food service or quick service & fast food restaurant experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is highly desirable
- Experience in food preparation, serving, and handling food safety standards is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple transactions and customer needs simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and processing transactions accurately
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
