The Lycée Français de San Diego is a private non-profit French international school accredited by the French Ministry of Education and aligning with local curriculum, welcoming students from all horizons.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching responsibilities include class time (from 6th to 8th grade) and paid preparation time.
- Science classes are taught in French, Math classes in either English or French.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and standards set by the school or educational institution.
- Create engaging and interactive activities to enhance students' language skills.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Design, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate students' progress and proficiency. Complete our semester-based report cards.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their target skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior and address any issues that arise in a professional and effective manner.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development sessions as required as defined with the supervisor.

Qualifications and skills:
- A bachelor's degree in Science, Math or Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching target subjects, especially at the level is prefered (middle school).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
- A deep understanding of subject area and the ability to convey this knowledge to students.
