Job Summary
Join our team and be a part of Idaho’s largest pickleball club, The Flying Pickle! We are opening next month in Post Falls and need help in our restaurant, The Kitchen! The Kitchen employee is responsible for providing high-quality food, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service for all guests. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and team members.
- Interact with customers in a friendly, fun, energetic and professional manner.
- Maintain food quality, freshness and portion control.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and health department regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, stock and break down prep stations.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Serve food and beverages to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/dining area.
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Assist with catering and private event food preparation when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Previous restaurant, food service or kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time efficiently.
- A welcoming personality with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and effectively.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 40 lbs and walk up and down stairs.
